It appears that while A123 cells are LiFe technology, not all LiFe cells are equal. I am being urged by some "experts" to stay with true A123 cells, and by others to go with regular lithium ion cells. If I go with lithium ion, I have to run a regulator, maybe two. I don''t trust regulators, and I don''t trust the LiFe technology at this point.
