03-26-2010, 04:23 AM. Miller Bluestar 2E AC/DC. April 1986 Bluestar 2E AC/DC machine. The serial number is JG082607. The serial number on the engine is: Tecumseh - OH16 170136D Ser6162E. I was told that the parts for the Tecumseh engine was obsolete. I need to find a magneto, coil, flywheel and a carb. if possible.

In all correspondence with ITW/Miller (including parts and manual requests) please provide the entire serial number. (Also include the letter suffix found at the end of the serial numbers on newer models. This letter indicates the manufacturing business unit.) Some models may use a Style Number rather than a Serial Number.

Solenoid on the miller bluestar 2 E AC/DC. 06-09-2016, 02:02 AM. My solenoid is not pulling the piston far enough in to throttle the engine to 3000 RPM ( welding power). When I flip the power switch on I can see the piston move a little, but does advanced the throttle at all. I have cleaned the piston and solenoid and piston moves freely.
Re: Miller BlueStar 2E AC/DC. I think you will find a shorted SCR 50 on the pcb. Check between pin C and J. Label and remove wires and test with ohmmeter. J is ground and C is the ground for the coil. SCR 50 connects C to J to turn solenoid on. Get owner''s manual, diagrams are all in there. Reply.

I recently acquired a Miller Blue Star 2E ac/dc serial number:JK537552 I did a good tune up on it new gaskets on impulse pump and carb, fuel lines new starter, battery, and air filter,and changed the oil. Started it up and tuned it to the manuals rpms settings with a tach and it ran good.

Re: Miller Bluestar 2E AC/DC help! I reinstalled the carb after cleaning it (still don''t have the rebuild kit). It runs only slightly better, still needs at least half choke. While it is running though I am still getting very low voltage at all three 115v plugs and only small sparks from the welding leads.
